In 2010, Dr. Mark Berman revolutionized regenerative medicine by introducing breakthrough technology from Asia. This groundbreaking innovation enabled the isolation of SVF stromal vascular fraction, an endogenous source of regenerative cells derived from adipose tissue, through a minimally invasive surgical procedure. Dr. Berman joined forces with Dr. Elliot Lander to explore the therapeutic potential of SVF, leading to the formation of the California Stem Cell Treatment Center later that year. This visionary partnership sought to establish the safety and efficacy of using autologous SVF for various degenerative conditions, operating under the oversight of an institutional review board dedicated to human investigational work.
Recognizing the importance of spreading this pioneering technology to qualified physicians eager to embrace regenerative medicine, Drs. Berman and Lander founded the Cell Surgical NetworkTM in 2012. Comprised of multidisciplinary, specially trained physicians, this network aimed to educate and equip medical professionals with the knowledge and skills to integrate regenerative medicine into their own practices. The Cell Surgical NetworkTM embodies a commitment to excellence, emphasizing quality, clinical research, and the advancement of regenerative medicine.
Today, all network members are highly qualified and credentialed physicians who employ a standardized, sterile, closed surgical procedure. This procedure involves harvesting fat obtained through a mini-liposuction to isolate and implant the patient’s own regenerative cells on the same day. Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF) contains four distinct types of regenerative cells, which, when combined with natural growth factors, collaborate to enhance and accelerate the body’s innate healing processes.
Leveraging our advanced technology, we can isolate a high number of viable cells, allowing for immediate deployment during the surgical setting. To ensure the best outcomes, we have developed unique and customized harvesting, isolation and deployment methods tailored to each specific condition being studied in the network. Throughout this process, patient safety remains our utmost priority, and we continuously gather data from our member physicians and centers worldwide, making the Cell Surgical NetworkTM the largest regenerative medicine clinical research organization globally.
Within our network, member physicians not only contribute their data but also share invaluable clinical experiences, fostering collaboration and scientific advancement. By learning from one another, we strive to deepen our understanding of which diseases respond most effectively to regenerative medicine and refine our deployment techniques. Our dedicated support team coordinates the collection and analysis of data, facilitating a collective effort to optimize medical care and elevate scientific knowledge.
In summary, the Cell Surgical NetworkTM stands at the forefront of regenerative medicine, driven by passionate physicians committed to better outcomes for their patients. Through cutting-edge technology, extensive clinical research, and a collaborative network of specialized physicians, we continue to revolutionize the field, unlocking the potential of regenerative cells to restore health and vitality.
